The new BLACK MESA Working Cowhorse saddle was designed by Len Brown to satisfy a customer's requests. He had ridden 20 yrs in saddles for WORKING COWHORSE competitions. His Hips hurt so severely he had to stop competing. This is how Len fixed the Problem. He used an old WILL JAMES Roping fork made for the working cowboy. The similarities to saddles of old don't end there. Len shaped and designed the bars from an old Saddle Bronc tree. The narrow waist seat & great twist in the bars were a great starting point. He then straightened the bars & put Grooves for the Stirrup Straps under the bars. No STRAP BUMPS here! Save $100 on a PROTECTOR PAD with the PURCHASE of a saddle. grooves in the underside to eliminate STIRRUP STRAP BUMPS. The Strap position Len put further back under the rider for effortless balance when maneuvering at speed.  The seat has 3/8" neoprene foam under the leather.
